[5 Great Ways to Use Online Resume Builder In Blogging]
A resume online builder is a perfect tool to use when you want to create a nurse resume that is professional and has the accepted format. A lot less thinking has to go into the structure of the resume. Using these types of resume builders is going to allow you to add information that is required and leave out those aspects that just take up space. Find the best resume builder for your needs and add your information. It’s as simple as that. There are other great ways you can use an online resume builder.

5 ways to use online resume builder in blogging

Here are the tips using which you can use online resume builder in your blogging career.

1. Widgets

When someone is visiting your blog, you can create widgets to remind them to check out your resume. This is done in an underwhelming fashion and leave control with the reader. You can hide your actual resume, but simply have a clickable icon displayed in case someone would like to hire you. It is something often missed, but it can have great potential. When you create a widget, it will automatically appear on every page. If someone is looking for resumes for nurses and your blog is about nursing, it is a perfect opportunity to add a resume.

2. Add to menu

What is great about an online resume builder on a blog is that you have full control. You decide who gets to see your resume and who doesn’t. If you would like it to be seen by as many of your blog visitors as possible, add it to the top menu. This is easily done and would work the same way as adding a new page. It’s uncomplicated, but your resume will see a lot more people if done in this way.

3. Use the guides

Every resume builder will give you some kind of guidelines and suggestions to up your chances of success. You want to be able to use these guidelines as they were created for the plugin. When you look at the tips on the plugin, you will notice a trend and these are based on success rates. Do not skip this step and at least read through some of these suggestions.

4. Include keywords

If you have been blogging for a while, you understand the power of keywords. Do not exclude these from your resume itself. You stand a better chance of having your resume found online if you include relevant keywords. I say relevant, because it is a crucial step in getting the job you want. If you look at a student nurse cover letter it’s easy to see how many medical terms are used. You can do the same with any industry. Do a keyword search for the position you would like to be hired in and include the ones that are most suited for you.

5. Bullet points

Make sure someone can easily scan over your resume and get the just of what you have to offer. Do not write large paragraphs because it is a waste of time. You can write one summary, but you want to break it down into smaller sections. Bullet points and lists are a great way to achieve this. Simply use one line per achievement and skill. It’s simple and effective. This is one of the reasons resumes have been reduced to 1-2 pages. Hiring managers no longer have time to read a 10 page resume. Keep it short and to the point.

Conclusion

There are great benefits in using an online resume builder in blogging. These are some ways you can improve your online resume. A lot of success awaits you when you do something right and give it the time it deserves. There is no rush in creating your online resume. Take your time and make sure you are proud of the final product.

5 Things To Do if You're Unemployed

By Ashutosh Jha → Monday, June 13, 2022
It's no secret that finding a new job can take months – even professionals may have gaps on their resumes from stretches of unemployment between jobs. Unemployment is a reality for many people at some point in their careers – especially since the pandemic.

After the Covid-19 outbreak, millions of Americans lost their jobs and filed for unemployment. However, being unemployed doesn't have to mean being unproductive.

Here are five ways to take advantage of unemployment while searching for your next job opportunity.

1. Apply for Unemployment Benefits

When you're between jobs, the first thing you should do is seek advice on unemployment benefits. If you're not unemployed, but your hours have been reduced, you may still qualify.

Federal and state programs offer unemployment benefits. Unemployment benefits are designed to provide financial security while you're unemployed, and typically pay around half of what you were earning at your job.

To qualify for compensation, you will need to present records of your earnings over a specific period – usually 12 months – while you were still employed. If your application is rejected, speak to a qualified employment lawyer to fight for your benefits.

2. Make a Schedule

While there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of your free time while unemployed, you should not see this time as a vacation. Instead, you should focus on being productive and preparing for your next job opportunity.

Suppose your standard daily routine is to sleep late and binge TV while you're unemployed. In that case, you may become deflated, unmotivated, and depressed. Instead of spending your time idly, try to add structure to your routine. Commit to spending at least three hours on job-hunting daily, and stick to your schedule.

3. Consider Temporary Work or Freelancing

You can make the undesirable gap on your resume disappear by becoming a freelancer or filling up your time with temporary work. This way, you'll be able to earn some money while you're looking for your next full-time job and put your skills to good use.

Choose projects related to your field of work – this way, your career timeline will be more focused on your industry.

There are many online platforms to find freelance or project-based work. There are many benefits to freelancing – including flexibility and the ability to be selective about which projects you want to take on. Spending your time on freelance work is also an excellent opportunity to work on your personal brand.

4. Learn a New Skill

When you're not searching for a job, you should take advantage of your free time by learning something new. You can attend seminars, online classes, or enroll part-time in a community college course.

Whether you've always wanted to learn how to drive, code, or write, learning a new skill while unemployed is a way to bolster your resume and do something you've never had time to do.

5. Volunteer

Any volunteering experience you can put on your resume will look good to hiring managers. Volunteering for a non-profit organization will tell interviewers something personal about you and highlight how you give back to your community.

Using the time you're unemployed to contribute to a worthy cause is also an excellent way to network with others and stay busy. Volunteering in an NGO will also teach you valuable soft skills like leadership, communication, and time management.

3 Modern Calligraphy Styles Using Zebra Pens

By Ashutosh Jha → Sunday, June 27, 2021
Are you looking for modern calligraphy styles of writing? Let me talk about three modern calligraphy styles/fonts and the pen I use to create each one. The first font is what I call straight script, which is my most used style. It comprises all the basic calligraphy strokes, but with fewer loops, curls and flourishes.

It’s my go-to style because it’s very clean and clear. The second font is Scriptina, which is from the actual font that I have practiced and love very much. The third is one that everyone who knows and enjoys hand-lettering sees the most, the bouncy lettering.

Practice Strokes

Before I dive into each style, let’s brush up on the basic strokes and lines needed for you to correctly form your letters. There are eight basic strokes needed to create the letters of the alphabet. Some letters use one or more of the strokes.

The practice strokes are:

  • Thick downstroke
  • Thin upstroke
  • Under turn
  • Overturn
  • Compound Curve
  • Ascending loop
  • Descending loop
  • Oval stroke

In addition to the strokes above, there are also various lines, including the ascender line, mean line, baseline, and descender line. Now, let’s jump into the 3 different calligraphy fonts.

1. Straight Script

This straight script style is very clean and easy to read. It also helps you to practice forming your letters easily. As a graphic designer, I really like this font. You can clearly see the basic strokes and there are no flourishes or extra decorations.

I normally write this style at a 70-degree angle—it isn’t too vertical or horizontal, so I call it the straight script. For this style, I used the Zensations Brush Pen in Super Fine. I must say this is my favorite brush pen of them all. The tip is firm, very fine, easy to control, and the ink is very vibrant.

I would recommend this pen for beginners as it helps you with stability in controlling the pen and forming the letters. The Zensations Brush Pen in Super Fine also works well on any texture paper because of its firm tip. If you are writing on a very small paper, it also comes in very handy due to the fine tip size.

2. Scriptina Script

This is my all-time favorite monoline script. It’s monoline because the size of the strokes is one thickness, but there’s a twist to that. I implement a little faux calligraphy to it to add some depth to letters.

In the visual of the original word, you will see I added some thickness to the letters, and on the breakdown visual, you see the strokes without the faux calligraphy. This style is great if you want a name or word to stand out. It quickly grabs the eye of the viewer and looks very fancy.

For this font, I used the Zensations Technical Pen, size 0.2. This is my favorite monoline pen because the pen tip isn’t too fine or too thick—it is just right. All the Zensations Technical Drawing Pens are amazing but the 0.2 has the perfect size for this style. Just like the Zensations Brush Pen, the black ink is very vibrant and has a sturdy tip for easy control. The tip is very stable to help with creating straight lines. With applied pressure, it bends a little but bounces right back once you release the pressure.

3. Bouncy Lettering

The bouncy style lettering is what most modern calligraphers are familiar with. It’s used a lot on home décor items and even in branding for beauty products. This is a very exciting and freehand style. You can truly explore this style and learn to make it your own once you master the basic strokes. So, I would say, practice the first straight script style I did, and once mastered, you can jump to the bouncy letters.

With bouncy lettering, you can somewhat disobey the rules and be creative. It uses a lot of descending loops and the letters streak outside of the x-height. It was hard to decide which Zebra brush pen to use because I could pick any of them and they would work well.

After a little deliberation, I chose the Zensations Brush Pen Double Ended Fine/Medium Point; but I used the fine end. Why did I choose this pen? It is super flexible but firm enough for easy control. Because its flexibility gives a thicker stroke than the Super Fine version I used for the first style, which is perfect for the bouncy style. You need body and thickness to make this style pop and the pen did just that.

I hope you enjoyed these three modern calligraphy fonts/styles. They are my favorite. For more calligraphy and hand lettering inspiration, check out How to Create Faux Calligraphy in 4 Simple Steps and 4 Things to Know Before Learning Calligraphy.

When Do I Need To Hire Experienced NESTJs Programmer?

By Ashutosh Jha → Tuesday, May 4, 2021
NestJS was developed by Kamil Myśliwiec and other contributors as an open-source platform having a modular framework for creating scalable, reliable, testable, flexible, and efficient backend applications which is why individuals and companies want to hire NestJs developer for their projects. Nest.Js support databases like MongoDB, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

The framework provides a mix of components and elements of object-oriented programming (OOP), functional reactive programming (FRP), and functional programming (FP). Nest.Js uses HTTP Server frameworks with Express as the default but it can also be configured to use Fastify as well.

Presently, the fastest-growing Typescript framework in Node.js is Nest.js and it is influenced by React, Vue, and Angular, that’s why many companies are looking to hire experienced NestJs programmers or a team of programmers.

When do I need to hire experienced NestJs programmers?

Whether to develop an application from scratch or an existing project, hiring experienced Nest.Js programmers is important if you want the development of your app to include;

Scalability

Nest.Js is a highly scalable framework. Scalability is the ability of a tool or system to maintain its reaction time, efficiency targets and increase its capabilities as the demand for software functionalities grows. It can adapt to overhauls, upgrades, changes while remaining stable without diminished performance.

As earlier discussed, Nest.Js combines elements of OOP (Object Oriented Programming), FRP (Functional Reactive Programming), and FP (Functional Programming. The scalability can be Vertical scaling (the size of your server determines how big you can get) or Horizontal scaling (which gives you the capability to scale wider to accommodate traffic).

To scale up (vertical) more power is added to your existing machines with hardware and tools while to scale out (horizontal) more machines are added to share processing and memory workload.

Automated Testing

Testing is a process of evaluating the performance of a software application to discover if the software meets the specific requirements it was produced to meet and to find out if there are any bugs in the software and for improving the software generally. Most times to do this developers have to execute a testing system.

By building using the Nest.js development framework, this testing system is simplified as it comes with a default testing environment and tools. Test suites or individual tests are replicated easily and with speed. With this, you will be assured that the product will meet the requirements of quality, efficiency, and performance.

Same Frontend and Backend Language

JavaScript is the most commonly used language which is what Nest.js uses and having it used for your whole application, frontend and back end makes it more flexible. Using the same language for your user side and server-side means tasks relating to both sides can be easily carried out. This reduces the tools and time needed to develop your application since programmers can reuse codes, communicate easily on different parts of the system at both ends.

In-Built Exception Filters

Nest.js framework comes with an in-built exceptions layer that handles exceptions that the application code does not catch across an application and then returns an appropriate user-friendly response automatically. This is executed by a global exception filter that handles HttpException and its subclasses. A string is taken as a first argument and a status code like a second argument which when thrown into the controller the layer catches it and returns a response according to the specified status code.

Optimize Search Engines for increased traffic

Hiring an experience Nest.js developer can make your website rank higher in search engine optimization making it more visible and generating organic traffic. Using the Nest.js framework will make your website crawlable by offering crawlable content for search engines and you can choose either to prerender your website or do a server-side rendering.

Adding metadata to your website helps search engine crawlers understand the content of your pages and Next.js adds most metadata automatically including the content and viewport type of metadata. It also helps to have a sitemap so that search engines can index your website properly and although it is not easy to create a sitemap when you hire experienced NestJs programmer, Nest.Js can be used to automate the process to an extent.

10 Things To Know About Enrichment Classes In Singapore

By Ashutosh Jha → Saturday, October 10, 2020
Do you think that your child needs more than he/she is getting in class? Maybe you need the child to pursue a talent for which he/she has shown interest in developing? Your child would find enrichment classes helpful in situations like these.

The Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) assessed 15-year-olds from 70 countries. Singaporeans emerged top in math, reading, and science, and also came out top in world rankings for education, because most of the parents enrolled their child to Science Tuition for Secondary.

10 Things To Know About Enrichment Classes In Singapore

While classroom performance is important, your child may want to pursue other talents and skills not developed in class. This is where enrichment classes become useful.

10 Things To Know About Enrichment Classes In Singapore

Here is what you need to know about enrichment classes.

#1 What are the Enrichment Classes?

Just as the word says, enrichment classes go beyond what is offered in the classroom. Important information on enrichment classes in Singapore shows that these classes are designed to;

  • Supplement what is taught in class by introducing new concepts to the student.
  • Develop critical thinking skills that can be applied in classwork, and also outside the classroom
  • Cultivate a student’s personality and interest to help steer the student to an area where he/she is a natural fit
  • Liven up the learning experience with real-world applications, hands-on activities, debates and discussions, and individualized projects

#2 What is the Difference Between Enrichment Classes and Aftercare Programs?

In the past, parents had their children go to aftercare programs to interact with other children in a secure environment. Most aftercare programs had lots of play activities but no special learning activities.

Enrichment classes Singapore programs are structured to offer tangible learning benefits to students. If a child shows interest in computers, for example, a coding enrichment class would be suitable.

Enrichment classes are also different from remedial classes. Remedial classes are done to help a child struggling in some areas to catch up. Enrichment classes are suitable for students who show they can handle beyond what is offered in the classroom.

#3 When do Enrichment Classes Start?

Enrichment classes are offered at any stage starting from kindergarten upwards. The ideal starting point is the kindergarten level. This is because the child is exploring new concepts and getting a feel for different subjects. Enrichment classes at this stage can help early childhood teachers spot different gifts and talents in children.

#4 What Kind of Student is Fit for an Enrichment Class?

If your child is quick to grasp concepts and routinely needs new challenges, he/she is a good fit for enrichment classes. Also, there are some signs that your child could use enrichment classes when he/she;

  • Consistently achieves high grades
  • Reads ahead of the class
  • Feels that what is being taught is boring and repetitive
  • Loses concentration after the first few minutes
  • Keeps fidgeting and is restless in class

#5 Enrichment Classes Improve Study Skills

Your child could be talented or gifted, but lack study skills that are crucial in grasping and internalizing important concepts. Enrichment classes develop self-directed learning, which helps your child learn on his/her own. Good study skills also help your child prepare better and get high scores in tests.

#6 Enrichment Skills Improve Self-awareness

Some children’s gifts have gone unnoticed until it is too late. Gifted students also tend to feel unchallenged and under-stimulated by what is on offer. This happens when the student is not aware of his/her talents and gifts.

Enrichment classes help your child explore different activities and areas of interest to find the right match. Your child will realize his/her true potential, and become motivated to cultivate it. The student will also become more engaged in class and renew interest in learning.

#7 Enrichment Classes Motivate your Child

If your child’s motivation is waning for lack of a challenge, enrichment classes will change that. Enrichment classes continuously present new concepts that challenge the student. This keeps your child looking forward to the next lesson and challenge. Higher motivation boosts your child’s ability to open up to new concepts and ideas.

#8 Higher Interest in Learning

Loss of interest and disengagement is a big contributor to low performance in academics. This is because the student finds the lesson "boring" and "switches off.’ The student will then miss crucial concepts as they are introduced and discussed.

Enrichment classes are designed to spark and maintain interest. There is higher engagement in the classroom and extracurricular activities. The student will pay closer attention to the study material, grasp concepts better, and realize improved test scores.

#9 Enrichment Classes Help Paced Learning

The traditional curriculum is based on grade learning where all students are assumed to move at the same pace. But enrichment classes are designed to fit the student according to skill level. The student will learn faster in "easy" concepts and learn slower in more difficult concepts. This self-paced learning helps the child feel a sense of "achievement" and stay motivated.

#10 Enrichment Classes are Customized

Enrichment classes are not designed in a one-fits-all approach. Rather, your child will have a tailor-made program that recognizes her gifts, talents, strengths, and weaknesses.

Enrichment classes are very useful in helping a learner discover his/her full potential. If you feel that your child can do more, or has certain unexplored gifts, why not enroll him/her in several classes? The results could surprise both of you.

Microsoft 70-462 Exam and Practice Tests: What? Who? How?

By Ashutosh Jha → Monday, March 16, 2020
The IT field is growing at a very fast pace and it is adopting new technologies almost every single day.

So, as an IT professional, you also need to work hard and keep on upgrading your skills. Right now, if you want to get new knowledge, one of the best ways to do it is with the help of certifications.
